Haka For Life had the honour and pleasure of supporting the NZ made movie COUSINS last in Liechardt Sydney.

Co- directors of the movie Briar Grace-Smith & Ainsley Gardiner joined the screening of the movie, along with Aboriginal dancers, who also shared smoking ceremony and welcome to country.

Another beautiful night had on this journey of standing for life.

Today’s performance was incredible even in the pouring rain at the Fremantle fishing boat harbour for WA Day celebrations another great opportunity to share our message to choose life.

We acknowledge Hauruia for choosing to stand with us and share in the beautiful energy of our culture.

We acknowledge all who showed up and stood with us to perform today. You could of been anywhere else today and you chose to be with us, so humbling.

We had the blessing of sharing culture with the South Sydney Rabbitohs Harold Matthews & SG Ball Teams, as part of their pathways program.

Instilling positive culture and cultural expressions and actions, to empower them to become great footballers, and role models.

For the first time in Sydney, Indigenous & Māori groups joined in ceremonial dance yesterday to honour both Indigenous and non-Indigenous service personnel.

Organisations Haka For Life and Babana Aboriginal Mens Group joined to honour the Anzacs, united in the mission of reducing suicide across Australia and highlighting those who are facing challenges in life.

Two Haka were shared:

• Ngati Toa Rangatira Haka – Ka Mate
• Ngati Kahungunu Haka – Tika Tonu.

“The ‘Coloured Diggers Service’ [in Redfern] is the only service of its kind in Australia that firstly honours the First Nations People of Australia and Indigenous Māori for their contribution to the protection of Australia and New Zealand, dating back to the first Boer War in 1880,” Haka for Life posted on Facebook.
